Jamaal brought plenty of friends – Michael Vick, Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek, Dominic Rodgers-Cromartie, and Todd Herremans, among others. 94WIP’s Paul Jolovitz was on the mic all night for the event, at Playdrome in Cherry Hill, NJ.

With a rare chance to talk to so many Eagles players, we got curious about what they knew about the hashtag and their social media interaction.

Bowl With The Birds began in 2001 as a benefit for the Jeremiah Trotter Foundation. Now in its 11th year, Bowl with the Birds has raised money for many local charities. This year’s event benefitted Young Variety. Fans enjoyed fun bowling entertainment with Jamaal Jackson and other members of the Eagles, food, drinks, great prizes, exclusive sports memorabilia auction items.

The key sponsors of the event were Nuss Construction and Preziosi and Nicholson.

As the new restaurant’s popularity grew, Chef Hiroyuki “Zama” Tanaka and his team were faced with the challenge of reaching out to their customers on a regular basis with new menu items and engaging media content. We created a connection between Zama and their fanbase, first by enhancing their website with a frequently updated blog. This allowed the chef and restaurant staff to keep their customers informed of new menu items and promotions, and to offer insider knowledge on the culture of sushi.

Zama shows sandwich authority Tony Luke how to create the Tony Luke Celebrity Roll.

THE CELEBRITY CHARITY ROLL SERIES

Next, we conceived and executed the Celebrity Charity Roll Series. Chef Zama had a desire to give back to the community, so we contacted numerous celebrities that we work with, enlisting the likes of Phillies pitcher Ryan Madson, NHL Hall of Famer and Flyers great Bernie Parent, and ?uestlove of the Legendary Roots Crew. Several notable personalities lent their names to specialty sushi rolls created alongside Chef Zama. The rolls appear on Zama’s menu, and proceeds of each sale are donated to a charity of the celebrity’s choice. To date, the series has raised over $6,000 for local charity and increased awareness for Variety the Children’s Charity, Police Athletic League and Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia, among others.

<a href="http://hashtagmultimedia.com/hashtag/?tag=celebrity-roll"class="wpz-sc-button orange" >Watch the Celebrity Roll Video Series

ENHANCED VIDEO CONTENT

The Celebrity Charity Roll Series provides an opportunity to produce informative, entertaining content. We have produced web shorts for each of the celebrity rolls created thus far, wherein the celebrities visit Zama at the restaurant and help pick ingredients for their signature roll. The videos attract unique visitors by tapping into each celebrity’s fanbase.

For instance, the video chronicling Ryan Madson’s “Mad Dog Roll” spread rapidly from Zama’s blog to Todd Zolecki’s Major League Baseball blog, and was then picked up by the official Phillies Facebook page. These online videos have given Zama an extra edge, enticing coverage from ABC6′s FYI Philly show and landing Philadelphia Magazine’s 2011 Best of Philly award for “Replacement for the Wall at the Palm.”

It all starts with the bread – Liscio’s Bakery thinks so, and we tend to agree. Founded in 1994 by James Liscio, the bakery and its bread quickly rose to success. After joining forces with Chad Vilotti, the founder made plans for a larger factory and in 2004, the two moved into the 40,000 square foot Glassboro facility. Beyond this physical expansion, Liscio’s Bakery sought a way to get people talking about – and eating – their delicious bread. That’s where we came in.

Behind the scenes with Hunter Pence

To create awareness, we lined up Philadelphia Phillies’ pitcher Ryan Madson as the official spokesman for Liscio’s Bakery. The campaign included TV, radio, print, Septa bus wraps, bus shelters, billboards, and in-stadium banners. We executed all the media buys and created all materials in-house.

This year’s campaign has been optimized, combining all that we learned from the first campaign and fine-tuning it. Fan-favorite Hunter Pence, the young Phillies rightfielder, has signed on as the new spokesman. We took an edgier approach to this year’s campaign, which we hope will provide high levels of intrigue around the Liscio’s Bakery brand. Look for the new spots to be unveiled in the coming year, and check out some behind-the-scenes footage featured on MLB Network.

And it’s all thanks to a bald-headed guy with a BlackBerry,” wrote Don Steinberg in Philadelphia Magazine. Watch a video of Runyan discussing his work with Kaplan.

The Great Chef’s Event 2011 took place on June 14th at the Urban Outfitters’ Navy Yard location in Philadelphia. Proceeds from the event went to support both the Vetri Foundation for Children and the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. The event attracted a star-studded assembly of top chefs serving up their best dishes in support of the cause.

Michael Klein in the Inquirer:

“Wednesday’s Great Chefs Event at Osteria restaurant – which drew a slew of chefs from around the country, cooking fancy nibble under a tent on Broad Steet – netted $150,000 for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The real fun was later; when the chefs motored after midnight to South Philly for cheesesteaks with Whiz. Among them: Marc Vetri of Vetri and Osteria; Joseph Manzare of Zuppa, Globe and Tres Agaves in San Francisco; Rocco Whalen of Farenheit in Cleveland; Jeff Benjamin, co-owner of Vetri and Osteria; Paul Kahan of Blackbird and evec in Chicago; and Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco in Pheonix. Consensus: Geno’s beat Pat’s.”

The former Tennessee Titans offensive tackle landed a big contract as Donovan McNabb’s key blocker, and we helped him take Philly by storm by securing endorsements from a variety of local and national brands.

Hashtag Multimedia President Craig Kaplan connected with Runyan in his first season as an Eagle, quickly securing him a deal with Chevy that landed the big tackle a new truck. Many more deals followed, including a weekly feature on Comcast Sportsnet that ran for four years and a weekly segment on FOX29 Gameday Live. We put Jon in the spotlight with his own show, the Runyan Report, on CN8. This program showcased a more jovial and relatable side of Runyan, which ultimately helped him secure his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Other gigs and promotions we secured for the Pro-Bowler include weekly shows on Philadelphia radio stations Y100, WXTU, and WIP, as well as high-profile endorsements for McDonald’s and Ford. One of the most rewarding projects on which we have collaborated with Jon is Score for the Cure, a charity golf outing that has occurred annually since 2005. Partnering with the Ramblewood Country Club in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, the event has raised over half a million dollars for prostate cancer research in its five-year run. Over 700 people have participated, including Hall of Fame athletes Franco Harris, Tommy McDonald, and Bernie Parent.
