Song of the Day: Allison Weiss, “Making It Up”
The new Allison Weiss LP Say What You Mean (due out 4/16 via No Sleep Records) has taken over my life. Weiss, a talented singer-songwriter based in Brooklyn, crafts intensely personal, but wholly relatable indie-pop songs about love, loss and relationships that will hit awfully close to home for just about anyone in their twenties.
The lyrics of the album’s opener, “Making It Up,” should sound familiar to anyone who’s ever been in love with someone else long after they fell out of love with you.
